Never before has it been easier to start recording and mixing high-quality content from home!

Sermon Illustrations

Session 1

This workshop will celebrate worship through a visual experience. Artist, Elmer Yazzie, will share numerous examples of his own illustrations from past experiences. He will define the process he goes through before he begins his illustrations. Attendees will discuss a part of Scripture and produce a sketch of the passage’s meaning.

In Joshua 4 the story of the 12 stones serve as a visual reminder to the People of Israel of how Jehovah Yahweh brought the Israelites out of Egypt, through the wilderness, to the Promised Land.

In Ephesians 2:10 and Psalm 139 and Genesis 2 we are taught that human life is God’s masterpiece. Christians are pieces of art that need to contribute uniqueness to the world.

Royalty Streams For Your Music

Session 1

Learn how to secure all the royalty streams generated from your music while protecting all the rights to your work. Music royalties are payments that go to recording artists, songwriters, composers, publishers, and other copyright holders for the right to use their intellectual property. There are U.S. copyright laws that give artists these exclusive rights to their work.

Music Royalties are also generated for various types of licensing and usage. The types of music royalties include mechanical, public performance, synchronization, and print music. The music industry relies on these royalties as a primary form of payment to musicians. Moreover, contracts define music royalty agreements between the creator and distributor.

The Driving Force Behind Passion

Session 2

Like any serious ministry, passion must be the driving force that calls you and drives you to the acting or drama ministry. Not just a passion for the method, but more importantly, a passion for souls.  But as the grind of rehearsal drags on, sometimes passion is lost among the cast, crew, and even ourselves. In this workshop, we will explore some of the determents to passion and things we can do as leaders to create an environment that is always focused on the true goal of our production:  which is to reach the lost.

All About Song Publishing

Session 2

Music publishing is really all about songwriters and copyrights. When music is used commercially (whether sold, licensed, or publicly performed), the songwriter and copyright owner is owed royalties. A music publishing company can offer multiple services for songwriters. As a ‘publishing administrator’, they administer the copyright – protecting the use of songs as well as collecting royalties owed from use. On the creative side, some music publishers focus on the use and exploitation of the copyrights they administer by securing opportunities in the form of ‘sync licenses’ for film, TV, ads, video games, etc. Additionally, these creative teams play an active role in setting up co-writes and pitching songs to artists and labels to be recorded for the first time.

Most deals with larger music publishers see copyright owners receiving 50% of all royalties the music publisher helps generate. At the end of the day, the songwriter still “owns” the song, but working out licensing, pitching to music supervisors, and collecting royalties is a lot of work.
