Intermediate Ballet
This is an intermediate ballet workshop; some prior dance experience is suggested. Participants will move from barre to center including basic ballet movements, stretch and jumps. This class incorporates worship music in our exercises to dance for our Almighty God. Beginners are welcome to join us and take the challenge.

Nurturing the Body, Soul & Spirit
This session based from biblical principles focusing on the pillars of health and ways to purposefully care for one’s Spirit; engaging our Spirit communion with the Spirit of God, Soul; wellness practices for the mind, will and emotions and Body; healthy care nutrition for God’s temple.

Improvisation and Embodied Prayer
A creatively stimulating class for all (no prior training needed) engaging the Spirit, Soul and Body in communion with God, utilizing the Psalms and other scriptures as a basis for embodied exploration and response.

Lift His Banner High
In this class we will discuss how and why banners and flags have demonstrated God’s presence throughout biblical history and continue to exalt Him in our midst today as they usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit.
We will discover why the various styles and colors are used and what they represent.

He Sets Our Feet Dancing: Dance for Flaggers
This workshop will provide a basic vocabulary of ballet and contemporary movements to enhance your flag ministry. You will gain skills to incorporate your whole body into your work and effectively make use of your space. No prior dance experience is required. Please bring your own flags; a limited amount will be available to borrow.

Raise a Standard: Basic Flags for Dancers
Designed for the dancer with some technical training, this workshop will teach basic flag techniques and movements as well as a Biblical foundation for the use of these instruments. The class will continue with a synthesis of flags with ballet and lyrical, exploring new ways to demonstrate the magnificence of God through the arts. Please bring your own flags; a limited amount will be available to borrow.

Nutrition for Optimal Performance
This educational lecture based from biblical principles and scientific research will include the following topics, eating whole foods for healthful living, healthy choices for people with busy schedules, tips for meal preparations, nutritious snacks and portions, fueling to for disease prevention, balancing your immune system and lifestyle nourishment vs. fad diets and other.

Session 6

Activate and Apply
In this workshop, you will learn a piece of choreography combining dance with flags, experiencing the potential these techniques have as worship and ministry. This choreography will be gifted to you and can be used or modified for your home company or ministry. Through this process, principles of choreography and tips to create powerful and engaging pieces will be shared. Please bring your own flags; a limited amount will be available to borrow.

Choreography Arising
Participants MUST sign up when checking in the conference, individual or group is allowed to show a max of 3 mins dance work (can be a portion of the whole dance). During the workshop, dance faculty will give feedback and work with the dancers. This workshop aims to take the original work to the next level. Limited space is allowed. NOTE: Your mp3 music should be in a device that can plug into a speaker.
